The Progressive Conservatives are planning to go after the Liberal government now that parliament has resumed.

Foothills MP John Barlow says there are a couple of major issues that need to be addressed in the house including democratic reform.

"The Liberal government continues to deny a referendum on this and I think regardless of what form of democratic change in the voting system they want, I think it has to go to every Canadian," he says.  "Every Canadian should have a voice in what their electoral system looks like, I think that's going to be significant."

He says they'll also raise the issue of bad decisions and over-spending by Liberal members of parliament for things like photographers and limo rides.

Barlow was in Atlantic Canada for the PC party caucus get together where he heard from locals there who haven't seen or heard from their elected represenatives since the election. He says the same holds true in Alberta.

"We've got four Liberal members of parliament here in Alberta and I have not heard one of them speak about the pipelines and what it's going to means to Alberta's economy, so where are these Liberal members of parliament?" he says.
