Politicians from coast to coast will be gathering in Ottawa Monday as parliament will resume sitting.

Foothills MP John Barlow says he's seen a lot of frustration from Albertans over the last few days regarding comments made by Montreal Mayor Dennis Codere and other's coming out against the Energy East Pipeline.

Many comments have centred around the $73-billion dollars Alberta has sent to Quebec since the Government first brought in equalization payments between the provinces.

Many Albertans are saying they want the money back.

"Certainly we're hearing a lot of those types of comments. And I don't blame Albertans for that. You know, we've been there to support provinces across the country for decades and when it comes time for Alberta to get their support in a time of need, they're turning their backs on us. I don't blame Albertans for being upset."

Barlow says one of his priorities is making sure the Feds carry through on their promises to bring high speed Internet to all regions of Canada, including many rural locations in his riding.
