Justin Trudeau saying there was an "erosion of trust" but not offering any apologies for how the SNC/Lavalin affair has rolled out is not sitting well with Foothills MP John Barlow.

Barlow paid close attention to the PM's early morning news conference saying Trudeau needs to take responsibility for his actions.

"It's very frustrating to see once again, he's putting the blame on his former cabinet ministers that they "experienced" things differently. And I think Andrew Scheer had the perfect line. There's no experiencing things differently. The truth can't be experienced differently. There is right and wrong. And a real leader should know the difference."

Barlow says, like most Canadians he's talked to, he's not buying anything the PM has to say.

"You know, to see yet another phony press conference from the Prime Minister, not taking any responsibility for what transpired is ridiculous. He needs to explain this to Canadians and come clean on what happened."

Conservative Leader Andrew Scheer is once again calling for Trudeau to resign and for the RCMP to launch an investigation.
