Former Conservative Health Minister Rona Ambrose is the new Interim Leader of the Conservative Party.

The Edmonton M.P. is excited to take on the job and move forward as Opposition Leader.

Foothills M.P. John Barlow says he's not sure what his role will be yet.

"I'm hoping to have a leadership role of some sort, as we renew government. This certainly isn't a rebuild for us. We've got some good talented people in those 99 seats, so we're going to be a good, strong opposition."

In the meantime the Conservatives need to concentrate on finding a new permanent leader.

One name being tossed about is Calgary-Centre North M.P. Michelle Rempel, who Barlow thinks could be a solid choice.

"Somebody who's younger, some new energy. Some new ideas. I hope she does run for leadership."

Barlow and the rest of his fellow MP's get back to work December 2, when Parliament sits for the fall session.
