High River's Tate Barton continues to rack up the awards and accolades.

And they're well deserved, as the 10 year old picked up the Calgary Stampede's Western Legacy award in the Youth Category Tuesday, Novermber 20 at Stampede Park.

Tate's been running his lemonade stand for the last five years, raising $34,000 for the High River Hospital's Cancer Care Centre along the way.

He started it as a way to help out the community after his mom passed away from cancer.

His efforts have also spawned the popular "Tate's Lemonade Speaker Series," which is a gathering for the community to talk about cancer at the clinic’s memorial centre.

He says he plans to raise $250,000 by the time he's 18.
