It's about to get loud in Nanton this weekend.

The Bomber Command Museum invited motorcycle enthusiasts to come together for a huge bike meet and engine run.

Vice President of the Bomber Command Museum Dan Fox says they usually get a huge showing every year.

"We usually have about 200 bikes show up and we park them inside the main hangar, as the big Lancaster bomber is brought outside so it can run."

The engine runs will take place at 11 a.m. and again at 2 p.m.

Fox says, if motorcycles aren't quite your bread and butter, there will be vintage cars around town as well.

"In conjunction with this there also happens to be a car show going on, on the North side of the museum on ball diamond number three  There will be a bunch of cool vintage cars parked there."

The High River Hospital Auxiliary Lunch Concession is in the north hangar to keep you from going hungry and to raise money for medical care in High River and the Foothills.

This is one of many events the museum staff look forward too every year says Fox and he expects it to grow again this year.

"It's going to be a great day, if the weather turns out we'll expect about 250 bikes," he said. "We may actually have to start parking some of them out back behind the museum as it usually fills up pretty quick."

The first 100 bikers to the event will receive a commemorative Bikes and Bombers patch.

The event runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on July 22nd.
