An ugly incident involving the Okotoks Bisons Junior "B" Hockey team at the Okotoks Parade over the weekend.

The incident happened before the parade got underway while the parade entries were waiting.

Bisons G.M. Brent Trevors says one ex-Bisons player was arrested after spraying beer on the crowd.

Trevors says there were a few players involved and the club is taking steps to clean up the situation.

"The guys that were partaking with that stuff won't be a part of the Okotoks Bisons going forward. We take this stuff pretty seriously. In the last year I've worked real hard to try and clean up our reputation in the area. And stuff like this doesn't help. It's a black eye on our team. And a black eye on these local kids who did this."

Trevors says the kids involved who are eligible for another year of Junior "B"hockey with the Bisons won't be asked to return, while those who were there, but weren't involved will be welcomed back.

He says the Bisons sincerely apologize for the incident.
