The bitter chill in the air lately seems like it just doesn't want to leave.

Thankfully, according to Environment Canada, we may be getting a bit of a break moving into next week.

"As we head towards next weekend, the current models are suggesting that the temperatures will moderate a little bit as the arctic ridge of high pressure moves east into Saskatchewan and Manitoba."

Jonathan with Environment Canada says there is good news on the horizon.

"The Pacific Frontal system will move into British Columbia, and that will help moderate temperatures here in Alberta. Expected highs will reach 0 degrees by Sunday, and into Monday with lows of minus 10, under partly sunny skies."
