The Bomber Command Museum of Canada in Nanton is hoping to re-open their doors again to the public in and around the first week or so of June.

However, it won't quite be business as usual.

Museum Director, Karl Kjarsgaard, says one of their big attractions is when they fire up the engines on their Lancaster bomber.

He says that's not going to happen for a while.

"Engine runs are on hold. Because obviously when you put that Lancaster out there and crank up those four engines, that attracts a lot of attention and the crowd is too densely packed to follow the restrictions right now."

He says they're keeping their fingers crossed they can have engine runs later in the Summer.

Kjarsgaard says in the meantime, it'll take a couple of weeks to get the museum set up to follow the health requirements laid out by the Province around COVID-19.
