While the big cowboys and cowgirls are competing this weekend at the Okotoks Pro Rodeo, the little one's aren't to be forgotten.

Rodeo announcer Mike Labelle says the second annual Magic Rodeo is set for Saturday morning.

"Kids that, things just aren't going right, you have some sort of mental or physical handicaps that maybe don't allow you to go to the rodeo all the time, well we've set up a little kids rodeo with inside the Okotoks rodeo arena," Labelle says.

They have things like barrel racing and roping stations for the kids.

Labelle says they manage to get some of the pros to come out and lend a hand.

"To have these professional athletes, the cowboys and cowgirls show up and do this, it's just their way of giving back and it truly makes these kids have an awesome experience," he says.

It's free and it starts at 11 Saturday morning at the Murray arena.
