High River's Chamber of Commerce President isn't doing cartwheels over Thursday's provincial budget.

In fact you could almost hear a collective "Meh" from Steven Muth and other business leaders as there wasn't much in the budget for businesses.

"Nothing really tangible that 90 per cent of the businesses in this province can really put their teeth into. So overall a very, very disappointing budget."

He was hard pressed to really find anything positive from a business standpoint in the budget, but he did come up with one nugget.

"The did announce a rural economic development program. It was $13 million, or something like that. So, hopefully Jody Dawson and her group will be able to access some of that money to continue her good work."

Muth says he's also not holding out any great hopes for next week's federal budget either.

In fact he says it's "going to be ugly."
