There will be plenty of opportunities to see what the Foothills has to offer in various artistic talents Saturday.

BuskersFest returns for the 5th straight year entertaining downtown Okotoks.

Community Events Coordinator Roseanne Pichnon says expect it to be the biggest event yet.

"Its grown quite a bit so we have over 100 vendors that will be along the BuskersFest area and Marketsquare is in charge of that and this year we'll have around 40 buskers," she says.

Even though there's around 40 buskers registered Pichnon says if you'd like to participate in BuskersFest you still can.

"If there are still buskers that are interested in coming down and being a part of the event, they're able to do so by showing up at Olde Towne Plaza at 11 am and registering. Then we'll send them on their way and they can start performing it's going to be a great event for everyone in the family there's also a children's festival happening the art gallery."

Pichnon says those who take the streets to listen and watch the talent will also get the chance to help pick who's the best of the best.

"All spectators will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite busker. There are three prizes, first prize is $300, second prize $200 and third place $100, as well for the buskers incentives to perform well there are possible future performances and engagements that they'll be asked to be a part of on behalf of the Town and the art gallery."

Buskers will begin performing at 11 a.m. and Veterans Way east to Lineham Avenue will be closed from 7:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. so drivers may have to alter their route.
