Getting your veggies, helping out and paying it forward are all highlights of a fundraiser at Notre Dame Collegiate school in High River.

The vegetables which includes carrots, potatoes, cabbages, onions and parsnips from Southern Alberta come in two sizes, one bundle is $12 each and the other is $22.

And if want you can buy extra bags and donate them to the foodbank in High River just in time for Christmas.

Parent volunteer Marie Corns says this fundraiser is well timed.

"It comes out at the time when what people have grown for themselves is starting to deplete or anything they picked up from the Farmers Market is not available anymore. It kind of comes at a good time."

The funds go to support the fine arts program in the school.

In the past money raised by this group has gone to the band for travel and jackets for the music department.
