A hectic four days at the Calgary Expo for Vulcan Tourism and the Trekcetera Museum.

Thousands of people streamed past their booth over the course of the event and Tourism Administrator Devan Daniels says they attracted more than their fare share of fans, who want to know more about the Town, and the upcoming "Vul-Con."

"There is a phenomenal amount of interest in Vul-Con this year. People are excited about the line up of guest stars. It's unprecedented in Vulcan. Every celebrity coming to Vulcan this year, has never been to a convention in Alberta before. And we happen to have some very popular guests."

As usual there were plenty of celebrity sightings around the booth and Trekcetera Museum Owner, Michael Mangold, says one of the costumes he brought this year was worn by Star Trek: Voyager actor, Robert Duncan McNeill.

"I saw him from the side and I said 'That can't be!' But it was him, he looked over, and he was shocked. Because he didn't know his costume was here. So he came back had a good look at it, we had a brief talk. What a wonderful man!"

Daniels says they had a bit of a run on tickets for the two day event coming up July 9 and 10.

He says sales for the VIP passes and the Saturday night dinner and dance were a particularly hot commodity.
