A couple of Vulcan business leaders have come up with a unique way to bring visitors to Vulcan's downtown.
They're putting a "Star Trek" twist on the "Before I Die" aspiration wall.
Realtor Lyle Magnuson says one wall on the outside of the Coulee Pub and Grill will be painted chalkboard black and people can come up and write their dreams on it.
Of course it'll be in the "Star Trek" style of a "Captain's Log" entry.
"With all the 'Trekkies' we're trying to give them a creative outlet. And they can write their dreams on the wall. Hopefully they'll come and spend some time in our local businesses while they're down here as well. We also have another project where we've got a window competition for businesses in Town, trying make it all 'Star Trekkie.' So, we're trying to attract people to come into our businesses."
Magnuson, who came up with the idea along with Coulee Pub Owners Franks and Charntelle Koch, says they hope to have everything ready for Canada Day, and for Vul-Con which runs July 9 and 10 in Vulcan.
