The good news just keeps rolling in for the High River Canadian Tire, as they raised the most money across Canada for the Jumpstart program this Summer.

Canadian Tire Jumpstart Ambassador Tricia Rakos says the results are even more staggering considering their competition.

"Our store is one of the smallest in Canada, just to give an idea, the store we were competing against in the number one and two spot, the amount of customers they get in a day, we get in a month."

The High River team managed to raise $21,443 for Jumpstart, and were awarded and additional $20,000 by the company, for community recreation upgrades and support.

Rakos says local support was the catalyst for success.

"It's the spirit of High River! Everyone you see and talk to in High River is just so friendly and positive and supportive of this, local business owners we reached out to were so ready and willing to lend a hand."

Jumpstart is a program that helps families with financial costs for their children's recreational activities.

The team looks forward to their next fundraising campaign next Summer, and will continue to raise funds year round for the program.
