It was a succesful Canada Day celebration at the George Lane Park Sunday, July 1.
Adult and senior programmer Iva Woodward, who helped organize the event says she was worried about the weather turning sour, but was pleased with this years turnout "If I'm correct anywhere from between 1500-2000 people turned up this year."
Woodward says this year featured a variety of things to come out and see, such as food served by the Lions Club, singing and dancing at the gazebo a car show and even martial artists.
Luckily the weather held up, and the skies were clear enough for the fireworks show at Emerson Lake.
