The Town of High River is reminding residents about the Cannabis Consumption Bylaw public hearing, Tuesday October. 9, in Council Chambers.

Interested people have until noon Tuesday to get written submissions into the Legislative Services.

Oral presentations may be made at the hearing by anyone, whether or not they have submitted a written presentation.

Presentations, which are supported by written documentation, must have eight copies of the documentation available for distribution at the public hearing.

Oral presentations are subject to a five minute time limit.

Public feedback so far shows the majority of the community want to prohibit public consumption of marijuana.

Second and third reading of the bylaw will take place after the public hearing during the regular council meeting.

The council meeting starts at 3 p.m.
