It's a celebration more than a commemoration.

High River is celebrating how far its come in the three years since the flood that destroyed parts of the town in 2013.

Two new murals will be unveiled, one at the Servus Credit Union at 11 a.m.

That will be followed up by the unveiling of a second mural on the south side of the Highwood Printing building downtown.

These new murals will be on panels attached to the buildings so they can be refurbished in the future is needed.

After that's done the celebration moves to George Lane Park with music food and lots of fun from noon to 4 p.m.
