The Town of High River wants to hear from local businesses when it comes to building their new fibre optic network.

Chamber of Commerce President Steve Muth says he's been banging the drums to business owners in town because it's a service most businesses will need.

"With how technology is advancing and the different ways that businesses work. With remote worksites, remote meetings, all of these types of things. There are going to be more and more businesses that definitely require this service and it's going to be necessary for the Town to move forward with attracting those businesses."

The Town has a survey on their website which will help them determine the demand and prioritizing the build plan.

The Town has launched a survey looking for feedback from the business community, which they'll use to help figure out the best way to roll out the service, and add those to the list who want to get on board first.
