New electoral boundaries will be in place once legislation tabled by the NDP Monday is passed.

The Electoral Boundaries Commission handed over its final report to the Speaker of the Legislature on October 19, 2017.

The Livingstone Macleod riding loses Black Diamond and Turner Valley but gains High River.

Okotoks will be joined by Black Diamond and Turner Valley in a new riding called Okotoks-Sheep River.

And the Little Bow riding disappears with Vulcan in a new Cardston-Siksika riding.

The changes come despite presentations by local MLAs Pat Stier and Wayne Anderson.

Once it's passed the new boundaries will be in place for the 2019 provincial election.
