Charges have been sworn on a pair involved with an incident where a dog was dragged behind a car in Strathmore in July.

According to RCMP, Melinda Harris, 40, of Calgary has been charged with one count of Causing Unnecessary Suffering to an Animal.

She'll appear in Strathmore Provincial Court on Tuesday, August 15.

True Underwood, 20, has also been charged with one count of Causing Unnecessary Suffering to an Animal however his whereabouts are unknown at this time.

A warrant has been issued for his arrest on this charge.
