High River's Parent Link Centre hosts its 7th annual Children's Carnival this Thursday.

Michelle Kessel with Parent Link says it's a lot of fun.

"It's a free event for all families with children 0 to 6 and we encourage everyone to come out," she says. "We will have bouncey castles, a petting zoo, hot dogs and a few surprises up our sleeve."

She says most of the people who use the Parent Link Centre have children from 0 to 6, but Kessel says all families are invited out to the free event.

Kessel says last year they had about 1,200 people come out but they'd like to get that number up to 1,500 this year, if the weather holds out.

It goes from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the park next to the Town's spray park on High Country Drive.
