A collaborative investigation involving the Okotoks RCMP, Southern Alberta Auto Theft Unit and Crime Reduction Team along with the Calgary Police Auto Theft Unit has resulted in the recovery of a significant amount of stolen property.

On Sunday, April 29, officers attended a rural property in the area of 80th Street East near Okotoks.

A search warrant produced three bobcats, two trucks, one car, one boat and two trailers along with a prohibited weapon.

Three of the VIN (Vehicle Identification Number) numbers on the vehicles were also found to have been altered.

62 year old Kenneth Stieben from the M.D. of Foothills is charged with nine counts of possession of stolen property, three counts of altering a VIN number and possession of a prohibited firearm.
