Two boys, 9 and 11 years old were killed Sunday, August 5, when a collision involving a tractor towing a flat bed trailerhappened on Road 17-2 south of Township Road 8-2 near Taber.

Taber RCMP Constable Corinne Oliver, says the crash happened when the tractor tried to go down a hill.

"The collision occurred just north of the Chin Reservoir at the bottom of a steep embankment near a sharp curve."

The initial investigation shows a tractor pulling a flat deck trailer with people on the back, lost control coming down a hill and rolled causing the trailer to roll with the passengers on it.

Of the other six people involved in the collision,  two other kids were taken to the Taber hospital to be treated for minor injuries, one individual was taken by STARS to the Foothills Hospital in Calgary in serious condition and three others managed to walk away.

The investigation continues.
