The Fifth Annual Community Summit hosted by Our High River is set to go on Thursday, January 24 and Saturday, January 26 with the theme Taking Action.

Community Engagement Officer Jody Seeley with Our High River says this year has two events residents can take part in.

"There is a Thursday evening summit light as we call it," said Seeley. "This is just an evening where we will reveal a bit of what we are launching called the Playbook. There will be some time for connection and a little taste of what is happening on the full day Saturday event. So you are welcome to come to both."

Or if residents like they can go to one event or the other.

Seeley says the Playbook is a step-by-step planning guide.

"This year with taking action we want to help you connect into actually getting into action for 2019."

They also have some Community Activators who will talk both Thursday and Saturday.

"To share how they got involved in the community and created action within High River."

Seeley says the tickets are free for both Thursday night and Saturday, but they need people to register on Eventbrite because space is limited.

Links for tickets are here.
