The town of Okotoks will be starting work this week, with the replacement of the Laurie Boyd Pedestrian Bridge.

In a public release, town engineering services notes, that they expect the old bridge to remain open for use to the public while the crews work on the new one.

Certain parking spots near the library and municipal centre, will be blocked off during the construction period.

The release notes that alternate parking is available at Ethel Tucker Park.

The town advises pedestrians who use the walkway behind the library to be mindful and cautious around construction sites.
