The newly minted High River council meets Tuesday, November 14, for the first time since its organizational meeting.

The Highwood Lions Club will be thanked for its efforts in running the campground in George Lane Park.

This summer it was named Campground Of The Year by the Southwest Service and Tourism group.

They'll also be asked to proclaim November as Family Violence Prevention Month by the Rowan House Society.

On the business side, council gets a third quarter financial update and it will look at a couple of options for drop in rates at the Rec-Plex.

The meeting starts at 3 p.m.in the Council Chambers.
