High River Town Council has a big agenda to get through on Monday, February 12th.

Up first is a discussion on the community capacity building initiative.

Administration will be providing an update on the first 8 months of the project which is funded by a one million dollar grant from the Red Cross.

Then they will be looking at the proposed 2018 Operating Budget and Capital Budget.

They could also give first, second and third reading to the Highwood Ranch Land Use Agreement.

Council will get to see the 2018 FCSS Community Grant Allocation as recommended by the advisory board.

There is $60,000 worth of grants to be distributed this year.

Council will examine options and recommendations for the Silverland Camp Society.

Representatives from the society have been working with town administration over the past three years on options to provide space for the scouting and girl guide programs in High River.

Council will also be appointing a new Director of Emergency Management.

The meeting gets underway at 3 p.m. in Council Chambers.
