High River Town Council will be reviewing properties that are coming up for auction because of tax arrears at the meeting on Monday February 12.

On the first batch five properties which are scheduled to be put up for auction on Friday, May 4, in line with the tax recovery process, with nine more properties still on the list in batch two.

The list has been reduced from 84 to 14 properties.

Five properties coming up in the first auction owe a combined $97,743.63 and include three apartments, a duplex and one house.

The nine properties in the second batch owe a combined $53.990.07 and include one apartment and eight houses.

Properties will be offered on an "as is, where is" basis, with the Town becoming the owner of any parcel not sold at the auction.

Administration will continue to reach agreements or receive full payments with the owners until the date of the sale.
