The Foothills Community Counselling Service is still able to help local people with all sorts of issues they may be experiencing.

Councillor Toby Malloy says they're able to provide services to help out a wide range of people.

"In a way we have a bit of a one-stop shop in terms of people being able to access this wonderful resource hub that is FCSS and then also access our counselling program if necessary," she says. "What we're offering right now is affordable, accessible counselling services for individuals, children, ages 7 and up, adolescents, families and couples, and that's for any residents of the Foothills so not just High River residents, but Blackie, Black Diamond, Okotoks, Nanton, some people come from as far away as Claresholm and Vulcan."

Malloy says body and spirit are not disconnected and they work in service of one another, and our physical health and mental health are deeply connected and affect one another and it can be hard to know when to seek out help.

She says a simple phone call can get you the information you need to determine whether you should see them or get information elsewhere.
