There is a bit of a mystery underway at the Museum of the Highwood.

They recently posted a portrait of a "hip" young man from 1976 on their Facebook page, the problem is they don't know who he is.

The Museum recently started posting pictures every day on their Facebook page to share some of the wonderful images they have and to help them identify people when the photos weren't labelled.

So far over 3,000 people have viewed the post and while there have been lots of guesses, no one knows who he is.

Visitor Information Centre Coordinator Olivia Cotton-Cornwall, is hoping someone will recognize him.

"We just kind of stumbled across it," said Cornwall. "We decided we liked it, he had a cool style. It was a great photo and we have no information on it so we put it out to the public to see if they could help identify him."

She added they've had a couple of other photos identified by posting them on Facebook.

"It is great information for us we are so grateful when we can fill in gaps."

The Muesum of the Highwood Facebook page has new pictures posted on it every day.
