Downtown High River will soon see the addition of a new roundabout to the intersection of Macleod Trail and 6th Avenue, thanks to the Downtown Phase 3 Project.

After hearing feedback from the open house held in late January, Mayor Craig Snodgrass says he's very happy with the progress they've made so far.

"I love it. I think we're going to get this. Phase three is actually phase three and four and we're going to get this done this year. Some small pieces to put together next year, but the major construction will be done this year."

Snodgrass says he loves where things are headed.

"I love the roundabout on Macleod and 6th. I know that's the right decision. It does affect a couple of people a little bit for the long term gain of this community. That's definitely the way to design that intersection. So, all of the same kind of issues that we've worked through all of the way along here. And we're already starting to see the successes from phase one and two, so we'll continue on and get this finished up."

Snodgrass says everything is pretty much in line for 6th and Macleod and that's what the focus is.
