The fire risk continues to be high in Southern Alberta and the MD of Foothills issued a fire advisory on May 23rd.

They are reminding residents that it is very dry and fires can get out of control easily.

So far burn permits are still available and it is okay to use burn barrels, but fires should not be left unattended.

There were several fires yesterday including one in Okotoks and an out of control fire by Cochrane that has now been brought under control.
