It's official, the old Eamon's Gas Station is coming to High River

The River City Classics Car Club has all the paperwork signed and sealed and it should be delivered to its new home at the Ag Grounds in the next couple of weeks.

Club President Jeff Langford says there's been a great deal of work done to bring the building to High River.

"I think we've had a lot of key people with the club pushing it and working on it and knowing the ins and outs of dealing with the City (of Calgary), and like I've said we've had the (Foothills) MD, Larry Spilak has been great, the mayor of High River and the staff, I mean everybody on both sides, the MD and the Town have been very supportive," he says. "When you have that all coming together it's amazing, you're waiting for this big roadblock to fall apart like things always tend to do, no, no worries whatsoever."

Langford says they also have the plans to rebuild the iconic sign that stood outside the gas station along Highway 1-A on the way from Calgary to Cochrane.
