Perfect weather, 600 kids of all ages, Easter baskets and a lot of candy made for a fantastic Easter Egg Hunt in High River on Saturday.

Tracy Morgan, Recreation Administration and Programming Supervisor, with the town of High River said everything went as planned.

"I think I said it was going to be nice weather and it delivered as promised," said Morgan. "Everyone seems pretty happy and excited to be here."

Allan Heathman brought his son Liam, 18 months to the hunt, the whole family was excited to  be there, the best part?

"The children's faces and getting to share their chocolate," Heathman said. "This is good for the community, it brings out the people and beautiful weather."

Aleisha Pollett just moved back to town after living in Calgary and said this was one of the events her family, especially her two girls, was looking forward to.

"We enjoyed it. I have two totally different personalities, one of my kids went out and only got three and was happy with that and the other was more feisty, but it was really nice."

Pollett added while she lived in Calgary she missed the event and the nice weather was the crowning touch on the day.
