Monday, March 18, could be the last time some local MLA's are back in their seats in the Alberta Legislature.

The NDP will present their speech from the Throne Monday afternoon, and could drop the election writ during the speech.

Both Highwood's Wayne Anderson and Livingstone-Macleod's Pat Stier won't be back once the writ gets dropped.

Anderson, because he lost the nomination to R.J. Sigurdson, and Stier, because he decided not to run again.

The NDP could wait a couple of days before calling an election, or table a budget which could push the process a couple of weeks down the road.

Either way, the latest we could go to the polls would be the end of May.
