An employee at Christine's No Frills in Okotoks has tested positive for COVID-19.

According to a release from the store, the individual in question has not been to the location since Saturday, April 11.

The store was immediately closed and fully sanitized before being reopened to the public.

Local health authorities have been notified, and a  proper followup is being carried out, including contact tracing with other employees.

As a precaution, customers who have also been to the store are also being notified.

"We understand that you may have questions and want to assure you that we take your safety, and the safety of our team, very seriously. We will work with the local public health team on any further directions and encourage you to reach out to them if you need more information.," the release reads.
