Expect a grand old time Saturday, February 2, in High River as the town will put out all the stops to help celebrate the 85th birthday of one of it's most well known residents.

Mary Campbell hit's the milestone Wednesday, January 30, but her friends Delilah Miller and Kim Anderson decided to get everyone out for the shin-dig on the weekend.

Miller says pretty much everyone in town knows Mary Campbell.

"I've known Mary since we worked together at the Royal Bank many years ago. And of course she's very involved politically. So, of course she's taken a real interest who has a political career. So we thought it's time we had a celebration for Mary."

The festivities go from 1 to 4 p.m. at the Ramada Inn in High River.

Miller says there'll be cake and punch and other treats.

She says you don't have to bring gifts, other than yourself being there.
