The pool at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex in High River will be closed for an extra week for maintenance this year.

The pool will be closed for close to six weeks, from Saturday, September 1 to Tuesday, October 9 for repairs and capital upgrades.

They'll finish up grout and tile work for the pool and deck, as well as work on the air handling unit and other lifecycle maintenance to extend the life of the pool.

The extra week will be used for a new sound system, change room upgrades along with plumbing, boiler and lighting upgrades.
