The Foothills Advocacy In Motion Society is again raising funds for its programs helping adults with developmental disabilities.

Fundraising Coordinator Arlene Ridgeway says they're using their 2018 Calendar Contest to raise some cash.

"This is our second year we've done it as a fundraiser, and how we begin it is we put it out on facebook an d it's a competition where we do a call out for people to enter," Ridgeway says. "We've had nearly 20 photographers enter this year with over 72 beautiful images of southern Alberta and then we put out for people to pick their favourite pictures and that's what we put into our calendar."

Sales are already underway. In High River they've sole the calendars in Servus Credit Union, Sobey's and at the Rec-plex. In Strathmore they've been selling them at the No Frills and in Okotoks at the Recreation Centre.

Ridgeway says they're also selling them at their offices in High River, Okotoks and Strathmore and if someone needs them brought to them she's willing to do that too.

"We had great feedback last year and this year they just seemed to have taken off, it seems like we're getting even more sales than last year so hopefully it continues to grow," she says. "It's a great community builder as well."

She says the money raised goes to all the programs they use to development different initiatives for the clients.
