Season three of Fargo is set to begin filming in Beiseker in early January and all ten episodes are going to be filmed in the village.

Mayor of Beiseker Ray Courtman.

Beiseker Mayor Ray Courtman says producers had their eye on the tiny community for quite some time.

"Apparently they've been looking at Beiseker for the last two years, we were approached and asked if we wouldn't mind if our town was turned into Eden Valley Minnesota."

He says several businesses will be renting out parts or all of their building to become sets for the series and adds the village will also see some compensation.

Courtman says crews are already starting to prepare for the transformation.

"The production team is going to decend on Beiseker earlier in the year, they've done some renovations and building ehre already."

Mayor Courtman says it's going to look like Christmas in Beiseker until spring.

"The whole series is supposed to have to have taken place in 2010 over a period of about three weeks around Christmastime."

He says producers said they couldn't have found a more perfect location than Beiseker for the episodes.

Season 1 and 2 had parts filmed in High River.
