A two vehicle crash at the corner of 12th Avenue and 16th Street S.E. in High River caused some minor traffic issues Friday morning.

Police and the High River Fire Department were on scene quickly as the crash between a black SUV and a Black Dodge half ton, towing a flat deck trailer blocked the right hand lane, eastbound on 12th Avenue and also prevented vehicles from turning southbound onto 16th Street from 12th as the crash was blocking the intersection.

There's no word on injuries or the number of people in the vehicles, but the driver's of both were still on the scene while fire crews cleaned up.

The SUV took the worst of it as it wound up with it's front end buried in the signal light pole on the southeast corner of 12th Avenue.

A tow truck was on scene and it's expected to be cleaned up shortly.
