A fatal climbing incident in Peter Lougheed Provincial Park on the weekend.

On Sunday just before 5:30 p.m., Kananaskis RCMP assisted Alberta Parks in responding to a man who fell while climbing near Rawson Lake.

Around 3:45 that afternoon the man stumbled on ice and snow and fell about 50 feet.

It was determined the man was died from the fall.

RCMP say the name of the 58-year-old from Calgary is not being released.
