If you haven't filed your 2015 taxes yet, you'll want to get on that this weekend.

The deadline to file is Monday and Dianne Mantei with H&R Block in High River says if you're one of those who put everything off to the last minute, you're not alone.

"Well, we have lot's of procrastinators and I think a lot of people are actually afraid of filing taxes, just in case they owe. And they're not aware of all the subsidies and tax credits that could be available to them. So what we do is educate them about taxes and how about how they have to file, and what information they need to avoid any late filing fees from the CRA (Canada Revenue Agency)."

Mantei says they'll be open late Monday, and even this weekend.

"This Saturday we're open from 9-until-5. And then Monday we're open again. We're not open to the public on Sunday, so we'd appreciate it if everybody could at least drop their stuff off by Saturday. And we have a lot of ladies here that are very accomplished and they will get all the taxes done by Monday."

She says if you haven't filed for a number of years it's important you do so as soon as possible, as late fees and penalties really add up, and they can help you navigate the system.

Mantei says if the government owes you money file your taxes on time so you can retain your tax dollars.

She says they've filed several years of taxes for clients at one time which has resulted in refunds of tax and GST.

She says so why not file now?
