Foothills residents looking to do some burning are able to once again.

The MD of Foothills lifted their ban Friday which means all open fires with a permit are allowed again.

Those looking for a permit can go to the MD's website and sign up for one free of charge.

The MD has stated fire inspectors may request to inspect burn piles before issuing a burn permit.

The MD is reminding residents to only burn clean debris and that burning prohibited debris is against the law. This includes items like tires, plastics, household garbage, paint and paint cans, used motor oil and filters, furniture, treated products, and animal carcasses.
