This year's Foothills Comic Con was another success.

The event is a fundraiser for the Foothills Fetal Alcohol Society.

Executive Director Danna Ormstrup says they're still working out the final numbers.

"We know we did better than last year. I think that these kind of things take a few years to get your sponsors in place and kind of work out the financial details. I think we got the organization down great. Now all we really need is some sponsorship.

Ormstrup says people who came out loved the event.

"One of the main things we hear is how family friendly it is. People like to come out dressed in their Halloween costumes or do something completely different for this event. Number two is that real "homey" grass roots, rural welcome that everybody felt that they got."

Ormstrup says they saw over 800 people come through the doors for the one day event.

She says plans are already well underway for the third annual Foothills Comic Con next October.
