While the open swim on Sunday afternoon's at the Bob Snodgrass Recreation Complex won't be coming to an end, the fact they're free will be.

After six years, the High River and District Health Care Foundation has decided to no longer sponsor the weekly swim.

Since 2012 they've spent over $75,000 on the program, and now they and the Town of High River are looking to switch things up for the foundation to possibly sponsor something else.

In the meantime, the free Sunday swims, which run weekly from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m., will continue until the end of August.
