Despite a turnout of only half what was expected, the Friends of Eamon's Garage Fundraiser, held on July 28th, still raised $5,000, which is double what they raised last year.

This was great news to the organizers who still need to raise close to $95,000 to complete the restoration project that is happening at the High River Ag Grounds.

Treasurer for Friends of Eamon's Garage, Quin Shaw, says, "the event was great fun. The Rewind band came in from Calgary and put on a great show while JRRR BBQ made a delicious brisket."

Shaw says, "we've already raised $100,000 but we need an additional $100,000 to bring to fruition what we see for the building, so we're chipping away slowly, especially after this fundraiser."
