The Foothills School Division Quarterly Financial Report from Assistant Superintendent Drew Chipman shows they are right on track for their budget plans.
Chipman reported to the board of trustees the division is right where they thought they would be at this time in the budget process.
The division is running a deficit budget so they can use up reserve funds.

"So we have a deficit budget and we think we are going to be able to be close to the numbers that we had budgeted for the fall," said Chipman. "We are going to be doing more monthly reporting rather than quarterly because that is what we have to do for the province."

He added as soon as the provincial budget comes down on March 22nd they will be getting to work on the division budget.

"That is where we will get the information we need to put our budget together. So we are really looking forward to see what that brings."

He adds sometimes the budget gives them all the information they need to move forward, sometimes they need time for it to filter down.
